YAS.WINE Advisor: Chrome Extension Privacy Policy

1. Scope

This policy covers the YAS.WINE Advisor Chrome extension and explains how data is processed while using the extension.

2. What the extension accesses

• Visible content of the active web page to detect wine product cards and extract wine fields.
• Image URLs on product cards only when fallback recognition is required.
• Local extension storage for dataset/version/cache state.

3. What the extension does not collect

• No account registration data collection.
• No payment card or billing data collection.
• No sale of personal data.

4. Network requests

The extension can call YAS.WINE recognition endpoint as a fallback only if product text is insufficient for matching. Primary matching is performed from on-page text and local dataset logic.

5. Purpose of processing

• Identify wine attributes for matching.
• Display contextual food pairing guidance.
• Improve reliability of card-level results.

6. Data retention

Extension state is stored locally in browser extension storage. Server-side request handling for fallback recognition is limited to operational processing and security logging.
